After multiple calls and messages, the school still has not returned confirmation of our booking.

This is very frustrating for us as we are deadlined for an event by the 21st of november 2005 due to insurance renewals.


So it is with great sadness that I announce that the planned final bash november event will not be going ahead, and NGL will, for the moment, not be running any more LAN events.

We would like to thank everyone, past and present, who has supported NGL and its events. This includes our dedicated and fun loving attendees, forum goers (and even the trolls), admin team, sponsors, and well, everyone really . We couldnt have had as much fun over the last 6 years without you.

We will remain committed to promoting and assisting other events in the area, and will be looking at possible events, perhaps 2 events that are a larger scale, for 2006, in co-operation with other smaller LAN groups.


We apologise for the let-down that 2005 has been for LAN's.. it really wasnt our intention. RealLife(tm) got in the way, along with dwindling numbers and admin teams personal/work committments.

We have been putting some thought into ways to revitalise NGL, or should we call it a great 6 years and let things die off gracefully and on a high note.


So, we are putting it to you to get your thoughts! Guide to voting...

1) We want NGL back! LANs still have a good thing going, and we want to LAN forever!

2) Take it/leave it - LAN's have had their day - I can really take it or leave it these days, its easier to stay at home but I would still come along

3) Time to let it go - the days of LAN's are over, and I dont want to attend any more LAN's



I have put together some revitalisation strategies to the other admins for comment, and we will use the results of this poll to determine what direction we take.

We will also be emailing all NGL members over the next few weeks to advise them of this poll, so we can make sure this is a community wide thing.

So go vote! :)

Unfortunately, the event this weekend will be cancelled due to lack of numbers.

We will look at another event in mid year once some more games come out, and see how we go then!

Sorry for any disappointment

It looks like last events downturn in size has continued through to this event, and at current time, there are only 36 regos for the april event.

If there are less than 80 regos by Wednesday night, then the event will be cancelled due to lack of attendees.

Attendances to LAN's is a problem across the country at the moment, and it seems the golden days of LAN's may be passing, as internet play and lack of new multiplayer experiences no longer draw the crowds.

Only time will tell, and we will keep you updated as to how things progress.

This NGL, I'l be running a UT2004 OUTGUNNED tournament. Simply put, the outgunned mod turns the deathmatch into the ultimate killing spree. The way it works? You'l have some time in 4 maps to make as many kills as possible in the fastest paced deathmatch you'l ever experiance. The highest kill tally at the end, wins.

We have finally worked out our 2005 dates, around some other LAN's in the region! You can find the dates here!.

Wow what happened to March... its the 17th already!

The next NGL lan is coming up on the 2-3rd April 2005, so registrations for this event will be opening next Thursday 24th March and closing Thursday 31st March at 9pm as per usual.

So, spread the word around, and get ready for some more great LAN fun!
